This Mikrosize flagship instrument serves as a reliable solution for material research and quality-control applications.
Pre-operation Preparation
Prior to operation, inspect the instrument’s exterior and cable connections to verify normal power supply and proper display performance. Calibrate the tester using a standard hardness block as specified in the operation manual. Operate the unit in a quiet environment with appropriate temperature and humidity.
Sample surfaces shall be smooth and clean. Sample thickness shall be no less than 10 times the indentation diagonal length. Use suitable fixtures to fix irregularly-shaped samples.

Test Procedure
Configure test force and holding time on the touch-screen interface. Higher-hardness materials require greater test force; holding time is normally set within 10–30 seconds. Confirm parameters upon completion of setup.
Mount the sample onto the test stand and align it to the indenter centre. Move the test head toward the sample via touch-screen control. Adjust focus through the eyepiece until the sample surface is clearly observed. Select “Start Test”. The instrument will apply the preset test load, maintain the holding duration, and perform automatic unloading. Do not touch the instrument or sample during the testing cycle.
Upon test completion, indentation diagonal lengths and other measurement data will be displayed. Where automatic calculation is available, Vickers hardness values can be obtained directly. Otherwise, measure both diagonals of the indentation with the included measuring microscope, and compute hardness by applying the Vickers formula.
For multi-point measurement, repeat the testing workflow at different sample locations. Log hardness values, test forces, holding time and other relevant information for later analysis.

Post-test & Maintenance
Remove the tested sample. Clean the indenter and test stand with a soft cloth and organize the work area. For long-term storage, keep the instrument in a dry, clean environment. Carry out periodic calibration and maintenance to guarantee consistent, accurate measurement results.
