Recently, Mikrosize’s flagship VMA-3020 vision measuring machine has been successfully exported and delivered to Thailand. The unit is now showcased in the product showroom of Mikrosize’s local Thai partner, offering manufacturing customers across Thailand and Southeast Asia access to machine demonstrations and hands-on sample testing. Multiple local manufacturing clients visited the partner’s premises and ran practical workpiece tests on the VMA-3020. They spoke highly of the equipment’s measurement accuracy, operational stability and intuitive operation experience.
Booming growth in electronics components, precision hardware and plastic-injection industries across Southeast Asia has driven strong market demand for non-contact high-precision dimensional inspection equipment among Thai manufacturers. Through cross-border export cooperation, Mikrosize has placed the VMA-3020 unit inside its Thai partner’s showroom. End-users from Southeast Asia no longer need to travel to China. They can inspect the physical machine and test their own production samples under simulated production conditions to evaluate the real-world performance of the complete optical metrology solution.
The exhibited VMA-3020 vision measuring machine is Mikrosize’s well-established benchtop optical inspection instrument. It comes with a 300 mm × 200 mm effective travel range, high-definition CCD imaging module and self-developed professional metrology software. Capable of measuring 2D contours, hole diameters, angles, positional tolerances and other geometric parameters, it is widely used for quality inspection of 3C electronic parts, stamped metal components, injection-molded products, sealing pieces and die-cut materials. Balancing lab-grade precision and user-friendly human-machine interaction, the VMA-3020 fits high-frequency factory QC tasks including incoming-material inspection, in-process patrol checks and finished-goods release testing.
During showroom visits, customers brought real-production workpieces and completed full test workflows on the VMA-3020, including specimen fixturing, contour detection, parameter setup, batch measurement and inspection-report export. Technical engineers from the Thai partner provided full-time on-site support, delivering demonstrations and answering questions regarding measurement throughput, edge-detection performance, data repeatability and software functions. On-site test results showed strong consistency against benchmark data from customers’ in-house laboratories, proving the VMA-3020’s excellent measurement repeatability. Visitors gave positive feedback on both hardware build and algorithm performance.

More core products including automatic vision measuring systems and single-column tensile testers will be supplied to regional partners’ showrooms to support quality-control improvements for local manufacturing industries.
