The uBrin-3000M Digital Brinell Hardness Tester from Mikrosize is a closed-loop controlled instrument designed for accurate Brinell hardness measurement. Available in three configurations—the M with manual turret, the A with automatic turret, and the V with automatic turret and vision system—it combines a high-precision load cell, digital eyepiece, and user-friendly touchscreen interface to meet the demands of laboratory and industrial quality control.
Key Features and Design

The uBrin-3000M adopts a closed-loop control system with a high-accuracy load cell, eliminating the need for traditional weights. Each test force is automatically compensated, and loading/unloading is fully automatic. The test force range spans from 62.5 kgf to 3000 kgf, covering a wide variety of Brinell scales. The instrument offers a large test space of 155×200 mm (depth × height), accommodating most workpieces.

A standout feature is the digital eyepiece with encoder. By simply pressing the encoder button, the indentation length is input to the machine, which automatically measures D1 and D2 values and displays them directly on the LCD along with the hardness value. This eliminates the need for manual focusing and calculation. The system also provides hardness conversion to Vickers and Rockwell scales, with 12 measurement scales available.
The touchscreen interface uses a menu structure for clear information display. Users can save multiple samples and test information, set a password for protection, and perform auto-calibration using a standard block or length scale. Auto test force calibration is also supported via a standard dynamometer.
Model Variations

uBrin 3000M1

The uBrin-3000M-M features a manual turret, while the uBrin-3000M-A offers an automatic turret for smoother operation. The uBrin-3000M-V adds a dual optical path system with a built-in camera and an industrial touchscreen computer. The V model allows indentation measurement via eyepiece or computer automatically, and integrates hardness testing, image processing, and software into one system. Its side touchscreen panel can control the turret and automatically display indentation results, and it supports Wi-Fi connectivity and keyboard/mouse operation.
Software and Data Management

The uBrin-3000M-V comes with a Brinell software system that supports single-piece measurement, batch measurement, hardness conversion, data and image storage, database query, and unqualified value alarm. The software can automatically record measurement data and output Word reports according to user customization, with all data saved in Excel format. The system also includes automatic indentation measurement, real-time calculation of hardness value and indentation diameter, and precise image analysis using shape, brightness, and edge calculation.
